Reason

Providence, Rhode Island-based painter Reason creates hand-stenciled portraits of familiar public figures, from Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Tom Waits (pictured). The artist, who had his second solo show at OneWay in the fall of 2014, says of his portrait collection, “This body of work reflects a never-ending obsession with two major aspects of everyday life: things fed to us by the white noise of consumer existence; and the battle between the acceptance and denial of death, otherwise known as the human condition.” He adds, “But really, it just looks dope.”
